78 Derngate is a heritage site house designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, that was lived in by WJ Bassett Lowke from 1916-1926. It is situated in Northampton town centre on Derngate. In the location, the house is decorated as it was in 1916, with some original decorations and some replicas, the rooms shown are the kitchen, hall, master bedroom, bathroom and guest bedroom. There is also a garden that is accessible for both houses. 80 Derngate is used as a visitor centre, gallery and has a gift shop. There are facilities throughout, including toilets, a lift and ramps, making it accessible.
